Tokyo Lights Through The Eyes of an Immortal (4)
Chapter 4:
Eiko wobbled on her legs, reaching towards the door handle to steady herself. She took one last look at the smirk on Yoshi’s face before collapsing against the wall.

Eiko awoke in Heaven, she sighed, brushing off the invisible dust on her dress. She stood up and looked around. She was in a field filled with daisies and dandelions, the same place she always appeared when she visited heaven. Eiko saw the palace of angles in the distance and lifting off the ground, she soared through the air to it. She appeared before The Angel, whose face was turned away, looking out the window. Eiko sighed, moving her angel transformed long hair to the side. “Long time no see, sis.” she said.

“Ah, my little sister is finally back, eh?” Tenshi said.
“Yes, I am, but I need you to send me back to the human world, I have a matter to settle.”
“With the devil? I heard you were looking into that.”
“Yes, but no, it’s actually with a devil worker.” Eiko said, getting impatient.
“Is he the one who killed you?”
“Yes, now could you please send me back?”
“Alright, but it will take some time, after all, I did just send back Ayake to the human world.”
“Okay, fine, just do it already.” Eiko said, closing her eyes. Then, Tenshi sent Eiko into the twilight zone, the realm between heaven and the human world. There she would see the old story that every angel worker saw, the history of the Angels.

At the very beginning of time, there was God and the Devil. There had been war in between the two, and at one point, both saw that fighting any longer would only destroy the human world and kill more of their followers. So, it was decided that there would be a battle in between the two, and the winner would be able to ask anything of the losing side.
The outcome of the battle was the Devil’s victory. God had been defeated and laid to rest, leaving the world of the Angels. The Devil demanded that the Angels worked for him, doing his dirty work for 1000 years. They complied, and for 1000 years, the angels worked for the Devil. Once those 1000 years had passed, the Angels were free to return to their realm and were no longer under the command of the Devil.
God had left the Angel’s world without passing on any of his wisdom or knowledge, but his two daughters were still there and who were nicknamed The Princess and The Warrior. The Warrior had fought alongside her father in the Great War, and the Princess had ruled the Angels that were not on the battleground.
So, when their Father died, The Princess and the Warrior decided it would be best that the Princess ruled the Angel’s world. But, because there were no great wars to fight anymore, the Warrior asked her sister to allow her to become an Angel worker, going in between the realms and settling matters and maintaining peace. Even though she became an Angel worker, she was viewed as the God of War. She had two emerald blades strapped to her back and several knives strapped to her leg. She was one of the strongest fighters ever known to Heaven and Hell. Many even dared to compare her to her father and the Devil. She had long silver white hair, the color all angels had, and golden eyes. Her outfit was all black and when she fought, she was called the black samurai, who was feared by all. She was regarded as the younger sister, although they were both immortal and age did not apply.
The Princess was known for her wisdom and intelligence. She had short hair which many judged as “boy hair” but, although they may not like how she looked, there was no doubt that they believed in her decisions and that she was able to rule Heaven without incident. Her eyes were a dark indigo purple and she always wore long, extravagant dresses. She had a regal air around her, the same way the Warrior had a fiery, brave aura around her. But, the Princess never went down to the world of the Humans, she preferred to let her sister deal with that world.
Despite their differences these two sisters ruled Heaven, and were known by every angel, demon, and creature that lived and breathed. After the Warrior had become an Angel worker, a few others were chosen to also go down to the land of the humans. These were highly trusted officials who had proven their loyalty many times.
To keep their identities hidden they underwent a transformation. Their eye color usually changed and they changed their clothes willingly. But, their silver white hair never changed, so they were forced to wear wigs to cover it. They also used code names with the general public.
When they first started sending angels back and forth between the realms, things were tricky, and there was an incident. The Warrior had accidentally transformed in the human world. And although she thought no one had seen her, it had turned out that a small boy had. Not knowing what to do, the Warrior took him in, and raised him in Heaven, taking him back and forth with her between the realms. As he grew older he helped out and became a friend of the Warrior. His name was Kanaye. Heaven and Hell both had workers, who went in between the realms. To help these workers out, they created headquarters. They had to do all they could to make sure the human world remained oblivious.
The Princess and the Warrior worked together to achieve this goal, and even published a bedtime story about themselves so that if they ever did come up, they would be viewed as mere fairy tails and child’s play. The Princess watched over Heaven, by the name of Tenshi, and The Warrior watched over the world of humans, by the name of Eiko. Eiko Takahashi.

Eiko woke up in her office. She rubbed her eyes, and ran her hand through her hair. That scumbag, she thought. She had done so much, trying to be all nice, and even ordering a croissant. But, he had to go and kill her. Being killed wasn’t scary, more of a nuisance than anything. She wondered if he was aware he was killing an Angel, or if he was just confused about her purple light. He had stared at it with wonder the first time they met, but the Devil was supposed to tell his advocates about the rules that workers went by. Now, Eiko thought, what’s my next move?
